Dear Mindy,You have definitely made a huge impact on our lives. You are gifted in so many ways. I think it is beautiful that you use conscious discipline on us in order to teach us CD for our children. We try our best every day and celebrate the little successes as we celebrate the kids doing "pee pee in the potty". At work with patients and staff I am seeing changes too. I just want you to know that I don't know what I would have done if you had not come into our lives. I was definitely not in control and didn't even realize it. I have my wonderful, loving son back and he is dealing with Mommy working so much and sharing her with Emilia. For two years our son would wake up several times a night and could not go back to sleep without nursing. He would start the night in his own bed but would inevitably end up in ours. Even then he would wake up to nurse throughout the night. My husband and I did not want to "let him cry it out" to get him to sleep through the night so we enlisted the help of Mindy Becker. Through her gentle coaching and encouragement we were able to develop a customized plan that we were comfortable with. She gave us specific goals and celebrated our successes as we accomplished them. By the 10th night our son was sleeping in his own bed, did not need to nurse back to sleep and would even get back in bed and fall asleep on his own if he woke up. It was a very smooth and peaceful transition with virtually no crying and we owe it all to Mindy!

After attending her introduction workshop to conscious discipline (which in short is "parenting magic"), I was hooked and then attended her 5 part series, which honestly was life changing. The workshop I attended was a satellite workshop she held on South Beach for about 20 interested parents/caretakers. Mindy just wanted to thank you for the information you shared with my husband during your potty training class. I asked him to bring back after class just one good technique for me to implement. He did he said do not put on pampers after they are in underwear. Well that's exactly what I did.... next time my twins wanted to go poop and asked for pampers, I said "no more pamper, only for night night" in 2 days they were both toilet trained. Thank you again for your words of wisdom you helped the Arnold boys become totally toilet trained!!!!! I'm very grateful!
